At Fare Republic ("Fare Republic," "we," "us"), we operate primarily as a facilitator by connecting users with airlines, hotels, bus operators, and other travel service providers ("Service Providers"). Our policy on cancellations and refunds is determined by the specific rules of the Service Providers, as well as our own processing fees.
1. General Policy and Facilitator Role
Service Provider Rules Govern:
All cancellations and subsequent refunds are governed by the specific fare rules, cancellation policies, and refund timelines established by the respective Airline, Hotel, Bus Operator, Tour Operator, etc., for the service you booked.
Fare Republic’s Role:
Our liability is limited to processing your booking and forwarding your cancellation/refund request to the respective Service Provider. We can only process a refund after receiving the refunded amount from the Service Provider.
Cancellation Fee (Non-Refundable):
A non-refundable convenience fee charged by Fare Republic at the time of booking is retained by us and will not be included in any refund amount.
Fare Republic Service Fee:
In addition to the Service Provider’s cancellation charges, a service fee will be levied by Fare Republic for processing any cancellation request. This fee will be clearly deducted from the refundable amount.
2. Cancellation Process
Cancellation Medium:
All cancellation requests must be initiated online through the "My Trips" or "Manage Booking" section of the Fare Republic website or mobile application.
Cancellations made directly with the Service Provider (e.g., airline, hotel, tour operators) must be immediately informed to Fare Republic to facilitate the refund process.
Timing:
The refundable amount will depend heavily on the time of cancellation relative to the departure or check-in date. Late cancellations will incur penalties and charges in accordance with the respective Airline, Hotel, and Tour Package Service Provider’s cancellation policy. In addition, Fare Republic’s non-refundable convenience fee will be applied as per Fare Republic’s own cancellation policy.
No-Show Policy:
No refund will be provided for a "No-Show," where the customer fails to check in for the flight, hotel, or other booked service, as per the Service Provider’s policy.
Airline Penalties:
Refunds are processed strictly as per the airline’s fare rules for that specific ticket (e.g., Economy Saver, Flexible Fare). This includes the airline’s cancellation charge, which is deducted from the base fare.
Non-Refundable Tickets:
Certain discounted or promotional tickets are non-refundable. In such cases, any refund shall be considered in accordance with the respective airline’s policy.
Taxes:
While the base fare and fuel surcharge may be non-refundable, certain government-imposed taxes are considered for a refund in accordance with the respective airline’s policy.
Partial Utilization:
No refund is applicable for partially utilized tickets (e.g., cancelling the return leg after using the outbound leg), subject to fare rules.
Hotel Policy:
Cancellation charges vary significantly based on the hotel’s specific policy and the type of room booked (e.g., refundable vs. non-refundable rates).
Time Threshold:
Cancellation fees are imposed by many hotels and may vary in accordance with the specific terms and conditions of the selected property.
Booking Conditions:
Non-refundable, last-minute deals, or promotional bookings are generally not eligible for any refund.
Cancellation Charges:
Due to upfront commitments to multiple Service Providers (hotels, transport, activities), cancellation charges for tour or holiday packages are typically higher and may vary.
For booked tour packages, cancellations and refunds are subject to the specific cancellation and refund policies of the respective Service Providers (Airlines, Hotels, Tour Operators, and others).

4. Refund Processing and Timeline
Mode of Refund:
The refund amount will be credited back to the original mode of payment (e.g., same credit card, debit card, or bank account) used for the booking.
Processing Timeline:
Once the cancellation request is successfully initiated and approved, the refund process will take place.
Once Fare Republic receives the refund amount from the respective Service Provider (Airline, Hotel, Tour Package Operator, or others)—a process that may take up to 15–30 business days—Fare Republic will thereafter initiate the refund to the customer, which may require an additional 7–8 business days for completion.
Please note: These timelines are indicative and may vary; taking additional time depending upon the Service Provider, the Airline’s own rules and policies, and the bank’s internal processing procedures.
Deductions:
The final refund amount will be the original booking amount minus the Service Provider’s penalty, the Fare Republic service fee, and the non-refundable convenience fee.
5. Amendments and Unforeseen Circumstances
Amendments:
Any changes (amendments) to the date, destination, or traveler names are treated as cancellations and re-bookings. They are subject to new fares, additional charges/fees, and Fare Republic service costs.
Force Majeure:
Fare Republic is not liable for cancellations or changes caused by events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, government regulations, or flight disruptions (Force Majeure events). In such cases, we will only process a refund if and when the Service Provider provides compensation.
Service Discrepancy:
Fare Republic is not responsible for discrepancies between website pictures and the actual hotel setting or for quality issues with services provided by the Service Provider. Our liability is limited to providing the confirmed booking.
Fare Republic bears no responsibility for losses or additional expenses incurred due to flight delays or changes, missed connections, illnesses, weather conditions, strikes, changes in government regulations, or any other unpredicted causes, regardless of their nature. Such losses and expenses must be borne by the traveller.
In case of any misuse or abuse of the service by the customer or travel agent, Fare Republic reserves the right to refuse the offer or cancel the booking.
Fare Republic reserves the right, at any time, without prior notice and liability and without assigning any reason whatsoever, to add/alter/modify/change or vary all of these terms and conditions or to replace, wholly or in part, this offer by another offer, whether similar to this offer or not, or to extend or withdraw it altogether.
Fare Republic shall not be held responsible for any indirect, punitive, special, incidental or consequential damages arising from or connected to the service.
All other terms and conditions as outlined in the User Agreement and Privacy Policy shall apply to this program.
